Tutorials: Hands

As is evidenced by a plethora of awkward photos, I am not someone who knows what to do with their hands when not occupied with some task. As a result, I will often have difficulty envisioning natural hand gestures when drawing characters.

Well, design.tutsplus.com provides us with a lovely tutorial, topped with tips and tricks, on how to tackle one of character art's more difficult tasks, "How to Draw Cartoon Hands."



And while I likely won't have much luck applying these techniques to real life (techniques such as exaggerating one's pinky finger for added expression), I can't wait to give some of these suggestions a "go" on the canvas.
